Associate Therapist - Hybrid Position

Position Overview:

Calm Harbour Counselling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Therapist to join our supportive and inclusive team. This hybrid position offers a blend of in-person and remote therapy sessions, providing flexibility and work-life balance. Our ideal candidate is a licensed therapist with a specialization or strong interest in working with the queer community and neurodivergent individuals. Experience in couples therapy is preferred, and a commitment to anti-oppressive and trauma-informed care is essential.

What We’re Offering:

  • Client Referrals: Steady stream of client referrals to build and maintain your caseload.
  • Flexible Hybrid Schedule: Balance your time between in-office and remote sessions to suit your lifestyle and client needs.
  • Marketing Support: Comprehensive marketing including advertising, website and social media presence, and a paid profile on Psychology Today.
  • Administrative Assistance: Help with client invoicing and billing from our administrative assistant.
  • Beautiful Office Space: Work within a supportive and inclusive collective of like-minded professionals, with opportunities for group consultations.
  • Practice Management Software: Online practice management and session note software to reduce administrative time.
  • Payment Processing Fees: Coverage for payment processing fees to ensure smooth financial transactions.
  • Professional Development: Unique support to begin contracting for a private practice as well as a small annual stipend towards ongoing professional development.
  • Compensation: 55/45 split between therapist and practice, with potential for negotiation.

Qualifications and Preferences for Ideal Candidate: 

  • Educational Background: Must hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent. 
  • Licensure: Registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Social Work (ACSW) or equivalent professional body. 
  • Insurance: Must hold practice insurance, or be willing to obtain it. 
  • Specialization: Strong interest or specialization in working with the queer community and/or neurodivergent individuals.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience and training in couples therapy.
  • Therapeutic Approaches: Alignment and training in at least two therapeutic approaches, including at least one trauma-informed treatment model.
  • Availability: Must be available for a minimum of 40 sessions per month with some evening and/or weekend session availability. 
  • Professional Development: Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and cultural humility.

 

Associate Therapist - Virtual Position

Position Overview:

Calm Harbour Counselling is seeking a skilled and empathetic Associate Therapist to join our dynamic team. This remote position offers flexibility and the opportunity to provide high-quality mental health services to clients virtually from the comfort of your own space. Our ideal candidate is a licensed therapist with a specialization or strong interest in working with the queer community and/or neurodivergent individuals. Experience in couples therapy is an asset, and a commitment to anti-oppressive and trauma-informed care are essential

What We’re Offering:

  • Client Referrals: Consistent client referrals to help you build and maintain a full caseload.
  • Flexible Virtual Schedule: Enjoy the flexibility of creating a schedule that works best for you and your clients, with the convenience of virtual sessions.
  • Marketing Support: Extensive marketing including advertising, a dedicated website, social media presence, and a paid profile on Psychology Today.
  • Administrative Assistance: Support with client invoicing and billing from our administrative assistant.
  • Payment Processing Fees: Coverage for payment processing fees to ensure smooth financial transactions.
  • Practice Management Software: Access to online practice management and session note software to minimize administrative tasks and streamline your workflow.
  • Compensation: 65/35 split between the therapist and practice, with potential for negotiation.

  • Licensure: Registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Social Work (ACSW) or equivalent registration. 
  • Insurance: Must hold practice insurance, or be willing to obtain it. 
  • Specialization: Strong interest or specialization in working with the queer community and/or neurodivergent individuals.
  • Preferred Experience: Training and experience with couples therapy.
  • Therapeutic Approaches: Alignment and training in at least two therapeutic approaches, including at least one trauma-informed treatment model.
  • Availability: Must be available for a minimum of 20 sessions a month, with some evening and/or weekend session availability. 
  • Professional Development: Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and cultural humility.
